Rules for Using the North Shelter Site
Our shelter site is open for everyone!
You can reach the site on foot, by bike, on horseback, or by canoe/kayak. The shelter cannot be booked.
To ensure everyone has a good experience, please follow these rules:
- You may stay overnight for up to two nights.
- Toilet visits must be made at the compost toilet in the forest to the north or at “Støvlen” or Sønderborg Nature Center.
- Drinking water is available at “Støvlen” and Sønderborg Nature Center.
- You may use the firewood provided in the shelter. We replenish it regularly, but to be sure, we recommend bringing your own firewood.
- Collecting firewood from the forest or thickets is not allowed.
- Fires may only be lit at the designated fire pit.
- Take your trash with you when you leave or use the bins at Kær Vestermark.
- Treat the facilities with care and leave the site clean and tidy.
- Keep your noise level considerate of other guests.
- Motorized vehicles are not allowed at the shelter area.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, including at Kær Vestermark.
