Rules for Using the South Shelter Site
Our shelter and primitive tent site is open for everyone! Larger groups, institutions, and organizations are welcome to book, and individuals, families, and small groups can also reserve a spot.
Users with a valid booking have priority.
You can reach the site on foot, by bike, on horseback, or by canoe/kayak.
To ensure everyone has a good experience, please follow these rules:
- You may stay here for up to two nights.
- Toilet visits must take place at the compost toilet in the forest to the north, at Støvlen, or at Sønderborg Nature Center.
- Drinking water is available at Støvlen and Sønderborg Nature Center.
- You may use the firewood provided in the shelter. We replenish it regularly, but to be sure, we recommend bringing your own firewood.
- Collecting firewood from the forest or thickets is not allowed.
- Fires may only be lit at the designated fire pits.
- Take your waste with you when leaving the site, or use the bins at Kær Vestermark.
- Treat the facilities with care and leave the site clean and tidy.
- Keep your noise level considerate of other guests.
- Motorized vehicles are not allowed at the shelter site.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, including on Kær Vestermark.
Enjoy your stay!
